This is the Level Best Art Gallery in Colchester, Essex in East Anglia.

We are always looking for interesting art to show in our gallery. Artists can apply any time of the year to have an exhibition.

Our next exhibition is by a wonderful painter called Catherine Litton from the 29th March to the 7th May 2010.

We are on the small road called Culver Street East based in the central part of Colchester Town Centre opposite Colchester Castle and it is easy to find us either by road or by rail.

By Road:

The A12 trunk road links Colchester with London, Chelmsford, Ipswich and the rest of East Anglia.

The nearest junctions are Junction 27 (Colchester West Junction directions to and from London and Chelmsford only) and Junction 29 (Ardleigh Interchange-A120 (East) which the 2 roads connecting  to Clacton, Harwich,  Ipswich and the rest of East Anglia).

By Rail:

We are closer to Colchester Town Station on the Colchester-Walton/Clacton line than we are to the main Colchester North Station which is on the London-Norwich Main Line. Both stations are operated by National Express East Anglia (Formerly "One" Railway).

The History of Colchester Town in Essex:

Colchester is the oldest recorded town in England since the Medeval times and is the friendliest town in Essex.

In the Level Best Art Cafe, we do activites like cooking, art, craft, having fun and making new friends.
