Jacqueline Bakowski - personal painting.

Hi
Thank you for not only taking the time to look at my paintings, but also for reading this! I have been painting for the last few years, really for my own enjoyment! When I start on a new canvas, I rarely have a set idea as to how it will look when it is finished - I usually let the colours lead me. Sometimes this results in an abstract finish, sometimes the colours remind me of somewhere I have been, or something I have seen and the painting travels in that direction. Often it doesn't work at all and is painted over with white - I buy a lot of white paint! I have started to add texture too, to make the paintings look less flat - it is quite interesting to see what materials you can use to achieve different effects. To increase my range of skills, I am currently attending a degree course, but painting is still my first love - it gives me great pleasure - I hope they do for you too!
